A card game is any game played with cards. There are many different types of card games. Some of these card games do not even use a regular 52 card deck; they have special decks of cards for some games like Uno and Old Maid, which are 2 games for kids.

My favorite card game when I was a kid was War. The object of the game was to win all the cards. Players would split the deck of cards and without looking at the top card at the same time both players lay them out and the higher card wins. Today you can find some casinos that have turned this card game for kids into a casino game. The casino version of this card game is much easier to find in online casinos then in the land based casinos.

When I was in high school my friends and I like to play blackjack which is a card game that is also known as 21. The object of this card game is to make a hand that totals 21 or as close to 21 as possible without going over 21. We did not really gamble when we played, but sometimes we would play for pennies. In the casino version of this game most casinos have a $5 minimum and online casinos have a $1 minimum, and they will have up to a $6,000 maximum.

It was not until I went to university that I started playing my new favorite card game, which is Poker. There are many different versions of this card game. There is 3 card poker, 5 card stud, Texas Holdem and may other types of card games that fall under the poker umbrella.

In my dorm in university we had a weekly poker tournament on each floor and once a month we hade a poker tournament where all the card game winners from the floor tournaments would play each other.

Now as an adult Texas Holdem is my favorite card game and I like to play in online casinos when my kids are asleep, but when they are awake I usually have to play many different card games with them. I have tried to teach them poke but they are too young to really get it.

Texas Holdem is a version of poker where each player is dealt 2 cards that are exclusively for their own use. The next cards they will use to make their hands in this card game are communal. The dealer them deals 5 cards into the center of the table then turns over 3 cards at once then followed by a round of betting will turn over the last 2 cards one at a time.

Playing a nice card game every now and then is very nice especially with family or friends. A card game is a great way to spend some time together as a family and studies are showing this can reduce blood pressure and stress, but playing in the casinos can make you some money and can also be fun and exciting.

When playing card games for money please remember to be responsible and not risk all your money for the chance of getting slightly more money then you are risking. The consequences of your actions can be more then you can afford.
