How to Wear Candy Colors?

Claude Vuillermet, stylish of LE CUIR A PARIS says: “For this resolutely optimistic season, color takes centre stage and joins forces with materials.” Candy colors top our list of favorite summer fashion trends. Grass green, hot pink, yellow, orange: we love them all. But do you know how to wear candy colors?

1. Red is a powerful and exciting color. When matching reds with other colors, it’s good to use darker shades: maroon, brick red. Red also has violet and orange as familiar colors, so matching them with red works well. Be careful to match green with red, otherwise you may create a really ugly clash. Blue and yellow should also be used very cautiously when matching with reds.

2. Yellow is a color commonly used in fashion. This color creates an atmosphere of attraction and excitement. This color is always difficult to match because of the tendency of yellows to be bright. Although it always looks good with black clothes. Pair up yellow with dark or lucid cool colors for a striking youthful look. The analogous colors to yellow are green and orange, and should also be soft-shaded for best effect. You should avoid going for dark shades of green and orange color to prevent making the yellow appear even brighter than it is. Be careful when you match yellow with red and blue clothes.

3. Blue, in fact, is the dominant color statement throughout the color families, often associated with calmness, affection, idealism and inspiration. Matching blue with white creates a refreshing and sporty look. Blue also matches with darker or more muted shades as opposed to bright shades. Analogous colors for blue are green and violet, so it looks good when lighter shades of green and violet are matched with darker blue. Also blue can be matched with orange, a complimentary color for blue. It intensifies the effect of the color. Be especially cautious when trying to match blue with shades of red and yellow.

4. Pink is a feminine color for girls. Similar to blue, it\\\'s soothing and pleasant to the eyes. Naturally sweet in mood, it has a lasting girly appeal. Girls in pink tend to portrait a very sweet and pleasant image, always attractive to the guys. Matching pinks with light colors especially white is really good. But dark colors such as red, green are not good choice.

5. Green is an energetic color. Green with blue produces echoes of nature - water and forest and can denote new beginnings and growth. Tri-color combinations of green with yellow and black or white are sporty, outdoorsy colors. Purple with green can be high contrast, lively. Lime green with orange and yellow is a fresh and fruity palette. The best color for green is white. In addition, green doesn’t suit people with dark skin.

6. Orange is vibrant. It\\\'s a combination of red and yellow so it shares some common attributes with those colors. It denotes energy, warmth, and the sun. While orange and black are traditional Halloween colors, orange really pops with a medium blue. Red, yellow, and orange can be a fiery hot combination or, in tamer shades, a fresh, fruity experience. Make it tropical with green.

Well, there are too many colors if I were to go on. I believe you should now have a feel of how matching of colors can be of so much fun? In simple, just play by the color rules:
1. Stick to one color (all white, blue, red…)
2. Hot goes with cool (match yellow with green or blue not with red )
3. Use neutral colors to draw the looks together (white, gray, beige and black are good neutral colors)
4. Play around with color of the same family (pink with maroon, sky blue with navy blue…)
Wish you a colorful day!
