The wet season is from December to March. The water temperature remains a pleasant 23 - 27°C, the average year round water temperature being an enticing 24°C.

Island Day Trips:
These are day trips that depart Airlie Beach or Shute Harbour for the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. The two big islands in the Whitsunday Group are Hook Island and Whitsunday Island.
